The construction work of this church has began in the year 1594 and consecrated in may 1605 by archbishop. It is considered to be one of the best examples of baroque architecture and Portuguese colonial architecture in india. And ,it is also included as one of the Seven wonders of Portuguese origin in the world.

Apart from the beaches and street shopping, we just fell in love with the atmosphere of basilica of bom jesus church. Such a beautiful place it was with the spellbounding architecture, it's history and the museum. The heritage things in the museum were so eye catchy. There is no entry fee, And the best thing to the visitors is that there is no restriction for the photography inside the church. So,that I've captured all these beauties. The millions that throng there every day.
